I have landed this website with the view of getting help with my CV – I had one, but it was handmade and quite outdated, so I thought it would be useful to get it done professionally. The website is focused at composing resumes for senior executives; however, they have packages for mid-level managers too. Single resume costs £285, and I also paid £60 for cover letter. Senior level resumes will cost you from £385 to £435. I believe these aren’t exorbitant fees, since I’ve seen a plenty of services charging over $1000 for executive CVs.

Ordering process

As we agreed on package during the phone conversation, I proceeded with payment on the site (note that prices exclude VAT, so my final charge turned out to be higher). The ordering process isn’t very convenient – first, you need to pay using the button on the site, and then send your old CV using the other button. Some of the websites, for instance, perfectresume.org/, offer you to register instantly and track the order in one place. I also missed the information about deadlines and description of how the entire process works since I’ve placed an order but it still wasn’t unclear for me.

Quality of writing and support

You can reach the company via phone number available on the frontpage or leave your details so the site staff could call you back. The 24/7 support is not offered by a company. I had direct contact with my wrier while my resume was being written, but she only messaged me once to clarify some points. I was promised to get the first draft within 5 days, but then they asked for a small extension. I didn’t mind it and got it in 6 days.

Conclusion

Speaking about the quality of writing, there was anything to complain about – both resume and cover letter satisfied me with the level of writing. Nevertheless, there were a few downfalls to mention. Although I had the opportunity to talk to a writer, I wasn’t involved much in the writing process. That influenced the result as some parts of my resume sounded a bit generic. What is more, the ordering process could me more convenient. To sum up, my expectations were met, but it definitely wasn’t a “wow” experience.
